Middle School Office Hours
Reminder: Parents must send an email to the teacher before the student attends office hours. This allows the teacher to prepare for the student's visit and clarifies that the parents are aware of the student's attendance at office hours.

Language Arts - Wednesdays and Thursdays 7:45-8:15 a.m.

Math - Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3:30-4:00 p.m.

Science - Thursdays 7:15-8:15 a.m.

Social Studies - Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:00 p.m.

Art - Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Music - Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:00 p.m.

PE - Wednesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:00 p.m.

Spanish - Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:00 p.m.

Drama - Day 2 before or after school

Library - Mondays and Thursdays 3:30-4:00 p.m.

8th Grade Language Arts: Poetry Writing and Holocaust Book Clubs

Hello 8th grade families,
I’m back from my maternity leave and working to get everything back on track, including this blog.
The Holocaust book clubs are coming to an end with the last meeting on Friday.  The final project requires each student to write a poem inspired by their book.  Students will be using poetry sound and figurative language techniques to enhance their poems.  Students will present their poems to the class next week.  Additionally, students created two other poems during this unit with city and society themes.  Students are presenting their choice of city or society poem today.  Be sure to ask your child to see their poems.
